POSITION: Operations Clerk/NF-0303-02 SALARY: $16.00 - 18.00/PH
EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full Time (May be scheduled to work 35-40 hours weekly. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and evening/rotating shifts. Eligible for ALL group benefits.)

DUTIES: Prepares appropriate government forms to submit for golf shop resale, products, and services. Maintains files and logs used by the organization for credit cards, assets, and all other administrative work. Performs golf shop orders using a VISA government purchase card with limits of $5,000 per individual order and up to a $50,000 monthly limit. Performs monthly inventory of golf shop resale inventory and an inventory of all assets. Prepares purchase order request. Obtain quotes from vendors for needed supplies and vendor items for items that are not under criteria of VIASA credit card. Answers phone, take messages, assist Golf Director in their absence, keeps area neat and orderly and performs other duties for the good of the organization. Responsible for daily paperwork needing to be turned into MWR accounting when needed. Opening and closing the golf shop and operating a cash register when needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a working knowledge of various accounting policies, regulations, terminology, processes and documentation to support transactions. Must possess ability to work expeditiously and accurately to complete assigned tasks within allotted timeframe. Must possess knowledge of operating general office equipment such as calculator, copier, scanner, shredder and computer. Knowledge of skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other internet resources and applications. Must possess the ability to be flexible, resourceful and diplomatic without sacrificing accuracy, efficiency and courtesy in dealing with facility managers and regional staff. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license. May be required to answer phones and work behind the cash register if needed.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a normal office setting. Work is sedentary in nature.
NOTE: As a condition of employment, selectee(s) will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer within the first 60 days of employment. This is the DOD standard method of payment of personnel. Employees will be subject to administrative action for failure to enroll unless a waiver has been obtained. Must meet requirements for local & national background check investigations (NACI). Drug testing is a requirement for positions deemed a Test Designated Position (TDP).
