Swimming License:

For our younger swimmers, ages 17 and under, we offer a Junior Swimming License—the perfect way to let your kids enjoy the pool independently while still staying safe! With this license, children can swim on their own, but must have a parent or guardian nearby for supervision. Here’s how it works:

  • How to Get Your License:
To receive a Junior Swimming License, children must pass a swim test that demonstrates their swimming ability. Before the test, a parent or guardian must fill out the swimming license form and accompany the child during check-in. The parent must stay on the pool deck during the swim, ready to lend a hand if needed.

  • What Happens After the Test:
Once the child successfully passes the swim test, they’ll receive a Swimming License Card and a disposable wristband valid for the rest of the day. To swim on subsequent visits, the child will need to show their card each time to receive a new wristband. If the card is forgotten, the child will need to retake the test.
Note: The child’s parent or legal guardian must be present during the swim test.

  • Swim Test Criteria:
The swim test is designed to ensure that the child is safe and capable in the water. Here’s what’s required to pass:
    • Treading Water: Jump into the deep end, fully submerge, then immediately tread water with their head (chin, mouth, and nose) above the surface for 60 seconds.
    • Front Crawl: Swim a continuous 25-meter front crawl without touching or pushing off the wall. They must breathe to the front or side, with full arm extension on each stroke, and without pausing.
    • Exit the Pool: After completing the test, the swimmer must exit the pool independently, using the wall or the ladder.

We want all our swimmers to have fun and stay safe, so this is just a small way to make sure everyone enjoys the water responsibly!
